Dominical - Homes and Condos

Dominical is a beach-front town in the province of Puntarenas, approximately 45 km south of Quepos. It is well known for large, year-round waves and is popular among surfers. The town began as a small fishing village but has since grown into a tourist attraction, most notably for surfers.

The area between Quepos and Dominical is dotted with African oil palm plantations producing palm oil. You can surf, dive, snorkel, beach comb, horseback ride, bicycle, or relax in a hammock in Dominical. Enjoy beach restaurants serving up everything from East Indian curries and Italian pastas and pizzas to local gallo pinto and shots of anise-infused sugarcane liquor.

Hike to the double-cascade waterfall at Nauyaca. December to April is the humpback whale mating season in Ballena (Whale) Marine National Park. May to November is the nesting season, when Olive Ridley and Hawksbill turtles do their nocturnal egg-laying on the beaches.
